Fly Tricycle Essay |

I remember feeling very large upon riding
my bike though the gravel roads where the clouds seemed so blurry. I was
quite young and that red bike was first with training wheels. I remember
receiving the bike for a birthday present and unreal it looked to me. It
seemed so huge and bewildering yet I would soon overcome that. I felt that I
ruled the world and the faster I went, the closer I came to flying. I now
feel that I was trying to break from the speed constraints that were upon
that bike. I was the king of the green grass cicadas and anthills. I
remember feeling so big because I was without training wheels and made me a
spy agent under times of adventure. Even the massive tress which branches
spread like ivy, could not keep me secret from the eyes prying from the
clouds. I would crank the pedals in the opposite direction to make a
screeching stop. Skipping the dirt roads and riding across the patchy grass
to create shortcuts and then peeling out on the dusty road to pretend to be
faster than Speed Racer or Sonic. I remember thinking how everyone should
just ride bikes all the time. |
