We had an assignment to create a
painting with any topic yet using typography. I was interested in trying to
make an interactive painting; So I made the painting foldable and therefore
made it into two paintings. The idea of robots and their intertwining with
our culture fascinates me and I wanted the typography to display a message
through the word itself and the way it was visually presented. The folding
of the painting also created the paradox of the human and robot about to
kiss yet when you fold it out they are as far apart as possible. Painted with acrylic. |
